GBG 2026 featured two interactive workshops highlighting innovative tools and resources for grapevine research.
The workshops provided participants with practical demonstrations, opportunities for discussion and valuable insights into emerging platforms supporting grapevine genetics, genomics and data integration. We thank the workshop organizers and all participants for their engagement and valuable contributions.
Monday, June 29 | 16:30–17:00
VitViz Workshop
Presenter: Tomás Matus
This workshop will provide a live demonstration of VitViz, the grapevine module of the PlantaeViz platform. Participants will explore the latest tools for visualizing transcriptomic, cistromic, and gene regulatory network data, including gene expression patterns, DAP-seq binding profiles, regulatory networks, and the integration of multiple omics datasets for candidate gene discovery and functional genomics research in grapevine.
Tuesday, June 30 | 16:30–17:20
Grapevine QTL Browser Workshop
Presenter: Silvia Vezzulli
This workshop will include a live demonstration of the Grapevine QTL Browser, with a focus on phenological traits. Participants will also have the opportunity to contribute to community standards for QTL nomenclature and discuss best practices for integration with Vitis Ontology and GRAPEDIA resources.
