XIV International Symposium on Grapevine Breeding and Genetics

Abstract submission is open to all registered participants until February 15, 2026.
We invite authors to contribute to the scientific program by submitting their abstracts online. Submissions must follow the provided guidelines and be completed within the stated deadline. Abstracts sent by email or after the deadline will not be considered.
Registered participants may submit up to two abstracts. Only one abstract may be proposed for oral presentation.
All submitted abstracts will undergo a review process by the Scientific Committee. Authors will be notified of the acceptance status and type of presentation (oral or poster) by email. The Scientific Committee retains the right to reclassify or request modification of the abstract type.
Please note that presenting authors must be registered for the event in order for their abstract to be included in the final program. Detailed instructions for preparing presentations will be shared with accepted authors in due course.
Abstract guidelines
- Abstract submission deadline is February 15, 2026.
- Abstracts must be written in English
- 2,500-character limit applies for the abstract content
- The abstract should include: Authors and institutions, Abstract content
- The ‘acknowledgements’ and ‘references’ sections are not mandatory (you may use them or not)
- Use standard abbreviations; place unusual ones in parentheses after the full word
- Please avoid tables, figures, or images in the abstract text
- All abstracts must be submitted through the official online submission system
- Detailed instructions for preparing accepted presentations will be provided in due course
All abstract 1st authors are obligated to sign the IVES Conference Series publication agreement. The agreement will be available to all in the official online submission system.
IMPORTANT! Authors are required to indicate their preferred presentation format (oral, flash, or poster) upon submission. Following the evaluation of the submitted abstracts, the Scientific Committee will make the final decision on the presentation format.
Types of presentation
ORAL PRESENTATION
During the conference, selected oral presenters will be allocated 15 minutes (12 minutes for the presentation and 3 minutes for questions).
FLASH ORAL PRESENTATION
A dedicated segment within each session will be reserved for flash oral presentations, with a particular focus on showcasing the work of early-career researchers. Each flash presentation will be limited to 5 minutes and will be followed by a brief Q&A session.
POSTER
All posters will be presented digitally on LCD screens in the conference exhibition area. The required poster format is 16:9, landscape orientation, in Full HD or 4K resolution. Further details will be sent to each accepted presenter. Poster sessions will be organized during the conference, and presenters will be required to upload their posters in advance via the EMPLS system.
